Overview
Kreeger Research provides Intellectual Property (IP) and consultancy services for exotic high performance Signal Processing ASICs and FPGAs. Anytime conventional processing methods are insufficient we can help. Our domain focus on Software Defined Radios (SDR) and Image Processing. These applications require greater system level design effort to yield compact and power efficient designs. We offer various services from simply refactoring your algorithm to a fully turnkey approach where we design the system and final device is delivered to your door.
Design Approach
Our design approach is a very simple and accomplished in three broad steps. 1) System Architecture. 2) Detailed Design and Tradeoffs. 3) Implementation and Unit Testing.Step 1, We start with analysis of your algorithm and working closely with you to architect the system for the greatest possible outcome.
Step 2, involves making some design decisions and tradeoffs as well as a generating a bit accurate software model. The system is evaluated and physical size estimates are made as well as digital noise analysis.
Step 3, detailed implementation starts by using both hand coding and custom HDL code generation tools. Verification of each module is done by unit tests comparing the bit accurate models created in step 2. If required we can implement the design into the device of your choosing. All HDL generated is guaranteed to be fully synthesizable in all major FPGA families.
